About Dr. Carlos

Dr. Carlos Garcia is a Clinical Psychologist, author, speaker and leadership coach whose passion lies in helping individuals break free from mental and emotional blocks so they can live with greater clarity, purpose, and resilience. He specializes in executive coaching, mindset and performance, working with high-achieving professionals and leaders to overcome internal barriers and push past limiting beliefs. With more than 25 years immersed in self-development, Dr. Carlos believes that true healing begins with inner work.

He is the founder of The Mastery Group, a company that specializes in high-performance counseling, coaching, and consulting, providing tools that elevate leadership and team dynamics to unprecedented levels. He also founded Tampa Counseling and Wellness, a therapy private practice which he later exited. Dr. Carlos also functions as a Human Performance Specialist for O2X, a company that provides comprehensive, science-backed programs to hundreds of police, fire and safety departments nationwide, including federal agencies and the military.

Before becoming a psychologist, Dr. Carlos served as a United States Marine and later as a firefighter and paramedic. These formative experiences instilled in him a profound understanding of resilience, discipline, and grounded leadership in the face of adversity. He earned his doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University and completed his residency at Rutgers University. Beyond his formal education, his own personal path of growth and self-discovery has deepened his insight into what it truly takes to overcome obstacles and thrive.
